UFC International Fight Week is upon us and on Friday the UFC hosted The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption Finale in Las Vegas.
The TUF finals featured Dhiego Lima fighting Jesse Taylor to crown the latest TUF champion.
Taylor immediately shot for a takedown to start out the fight. Taylor struggled to get the fight to the ground, but eventually, he got Lima to the mat. Lima was able to get to his feet but he couldn’t break Taylor’s clinch. Taylor landed another takedown and was able to secure top position. Taylor took Lima’s back and went for a choke, but Lima escaped. Taylor went for another rear-naked choke, but once again, Lima survived the submission attempt. The round ended with Taylor smothering Lima on the ground.
Lima dropped Taylor with a left hand in the opening seconds of the second round. Taylor managed to take Lima’s back when Lima went in for the kill. Taylor locking in a rear-naked choke and submitted Lima.
