Despite eating pancakes and ice cream during fight week, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has made weight for his title fight on Saturday.
At UFC 214, Jones will fight UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier in the main event.
Jones managed to come in underweight for his title fight. The former champion weighed in at 204.5 pounds on Friday.
Jones’ opponent, Cormier, also made weight for Saturday’s fight. The UFC champion weighed in at the championship limit of 205 pounds.
With both fighters making weight, arguably the most anticipated MMA fight of the year is now official for UFC 214.
This will be the second time these two bitter rivals meet inside the Octagon. In 2015, Jones earned a decision victory over the current champion. To this day, that is still the only loss in Cormier’s MMA career.
UFC 214 will take place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
