Cris Cyborg has put on a dominant performance in mixed martial arts, having not lost a fight since 2005. That being said, the fighter’s experience in kickboxing has been a little different.
UFC featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino decided to face Dutch kickboxing phenom Jorina Baars on her own turf back in 2014.
Jorina Baars is the current ISKA Welterweight champion and has amassed an undefeated record with 42 victories. Back in 2014, Baars and “Cyborg” met inside a ring for a Muay Thai kickboxing match up.
Jorina Baars put on a dominant performance over her opponent, flooding “Cyborg” with a flurry of strikes.
Now, Baars’ dominant beatdown over the now reigning UFC featherweight champion can be seen in the video below. Besides her only career MMA loss, Baars is the only female fighter to ever give Cyborg a lot of problems in the ring, landing clean hard shots during their muay thai fight.
Most recently, “Cyborg” earned a title winning victory over Invicta’s Tonya Evinger. The two threw down at UFC 214, with “Cyborg” earning a TKO victory over her opponent in the third round.
Will former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm be the next one to step into the octagon with Cyborg?
Check out some of the footage below of Cris Cyborg’s fight against Jorina Baars.
