Last year former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum accused one of his rivals, Junior dos Santos of being gay.
It wasn’t too offensive for the married father to be called gay, I’m sure he’s been calld worse.
However, that just kind of opened the door for Werdum, who also recently called Daniel Cormier a fa***t after the Jon Jones debacle.
Now, one week away from his scheduled UFC 216 appearance and Werdum is insighting more controversy after using gay slurs in his recent argument with Tony Ferguson.
The two came face-to-face at a media lunch to promote next week’s UFC 216 event, and it didn’t go well.
Now, Werdum for the second time in the past 12-months is making an apology for his anti-gay outbursts.
Taking to twitter the former UFC champion stated, “Maricon is common word in the Spanish culture and I do not mean to offend anyone in the LBG community and if I did I’m apologetic #heeyy”
