Intensity Mounts As Machida Stares Down An Opponent For The First Time In Two-Years

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida is making his return to the octagon after over two years away from the UFC. The fighter was initially set to take on Dan Henderson at UFC on FOX 19. However, “The Dragon” failed his drug test. As a result, Machida was issued a lengthy 18 month suspension. Coming back from the incident, “The Dragon” is now set to take on Derek Brunson in the main event of tomorrow night’s UFC Fight Night 119.

Derek Brunson recently pulled himself out of a two fight losing streak by knocking out Daniel Kelly at UFC Fight Night 110. Now the fighter will be looking to welcome Lyoto Machida back into the fold as he headlines UFC Fight Night 119. The event goes down Oct. 28 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In anticipation for the event, the UFC hosted the ceremonial weigh-ins for the event earlier today. At the weigh-ins, Brunson and Machida had a chance to staredown before their big battle tomorrow night. Check out the moment in the video below.
