The enmity between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee has been building for months, but came to a fruition in the main event of last night’s UFC 216. Now new footage from their epic battle has made its way onto the internet for all to see.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) moved to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday night for UFC 216. In the night’s main event, Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee squared off for the interim lightweight title. There inside the octagon, Ferguson and Lee got a chance to settle their differences.
Kevin Lee got the best of “El Cucuy” in the first round, out-grappling the fighter for much of the time. However, Lee was unable to keep up the pace for the rest of the fight. In the end, Ferguson was able to choke out his opponent and earn the interim lightweight title.
In the video below, Tony Ferguson can be seen break dancing in celebration of his title earning victory. Then, Kevin Lee walks into frame with his head hanging low, contemplating his lost shot at the title.
