Cyborg Changes Her Mind, Will Not Fight Out UFC Contract, Inks Extended UFC Deal Ahead Of Holm Bout

Cris Cyborg was seemingly having some issues locking in an opponent for her first title defense, after taking out Tonya Evinger for the UFC featherweight belt at UFC 214. That being said, Cyborg is now officially set to face off against former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm at UFC 219. However, the UFC 219 bout agreement is not all the featherweight champion has signed with the mixed martial arts promotion as of late.

As per UFC President Dana White, Cyborg has also signed a new fight contract with the UFC. The champion was considering fighting out her contract, which was coming to an end. However Cris has now decided to stick around with the promotion.

Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg will throw down on Dec. 30 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. The event will be aired live on pay-per-view.
