After defending his belt multiple times from the division’s top contenders, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is on the hunt for a super-fight. The champion has been aiming for a match up with UFC megastar Nate Diaz. However, it was recently reported that Diaz has since turned down the fight offer.
Diaz has not competed inside the octagon since August of 2016, as the fighter faced a majority decision loss to Conor McGregor. Diaz choked out “Notorious” at UFC 196, but faced the decision loss at UFC 202. The two UFC superstars are now 1-1 in their rivalry.
Tyron Woodley recently said that he is not closing the book on a fight with Diaz quite yet. Now longtime UFC color commentating veteran Joe Rogan has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.
