Colby Covington made headlines when he called Brazil a “dump” and Brazilians “filthy animals” at UFC Sao Paulo, just after earning a decision win over Demian Maia on the night’s main card.
Since then, the fighter entered an altercation with UFC heavyweight Fabricio Werdum. Spotting Covington on the streets, Werdum threw a boomerang at Covington. Now the heavyweight is facing charges from the Australian police for the incident.
Friend to Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal has now come forward with his thoughts on the situation. Speaking to Submission Radio, Masvidal was asked what it has been like concerning the situation.
“It’s been fun man.” He said. “I think he’s having fun too. He’s making the best out of it, as always. That guy, he’s crazy.”
When asked if he has been asking Covington to “reel is back,” the fighter responded:
“Nah, Colby is Colby. That is my partner. He’s going to do whatever he wants. He’s definitely not going to listen to me. He’s crazy, man.
