Colby Covington has found himself in pretty hot water as of late, when it comes to some of his fellow fighters. The UFC welterweight earned a decision victory over Demian Maia in Sao Paulo, Brazil at UFC Fight Night 119. However, the fighter offered a rather controversial post-fight interview speech.
Following his big win, Covington called Brazil a “dump” and Brazilians “filthy animals.” Since then, Covington has been receiving some heat from fighters and fight fans.
Most recently, Covington was in a physical altercation with veteran fighter Fabricio Werdum. Upon seeing each other on the sidewalk, Werdum threw a boomerang at the fighter. It has since been revealed that Werdum is being charged for the assault of Colby Covington.
Now fellow UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis has decided to come forward to poke fun at the recent incident over social media. Lewis stated, “Where can I find a Boomarang here in Houston?? Asking for a friend.”
