Conor McGregor Blasts Floyd Mayweather For Even Thinking About A UFC Run

The world is back in full Floyd Mayweather mania today, following UFC president Dana White’s reveal that the two parties are in negotiations. Now, in a a couple new posts, Conor McGregor blasts Floyd Mayweather for thinking he can make a run in the UFC.

Joe Rogan was first on the UFC’s side to leak news this week that Mayweather and the UFC were in talks, stating, “Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC, like legitimately.”

Then, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Rogan was accurate, and revealed what’s really going on.

Dana White told ESPN that there’s truth to the rumors. The UFC President said, “We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal. It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media, and then that s— ends up happening.

“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f—ing happened. Anything is possible.” he continued.

Last week Mayweather said. “They just called me not too long ago and asked me to come back . I can come right back. If I wanted to, I can come right back to the UFC. I can go fight in the Octagon. I can do a three- or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars. Remember, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.”

Conor McGregor insists a rematch goes his way.

Now in a new interview on Wednesday, Floyd touched more on the topic, and kind of puts an end to the rumors in the process. The boxer stated, “If I chose to get into the UFC and fight three-fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor I can make a Billion Dollars. You know, fight three or four fights and then fight Conor McGregor in the octagon. We just don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather. “

“I’m just saying I could. I’m not going to do it. But I’m saying what I could do is make a billion dollars quick. I never said I was going to fight in the UFC. I never said that. Could and would do are two different things. I’m not going to do it though.” said Floyd Mayweather.

So while the world would likely love to see Floyd Mayweather enter the cage, Conor’s reaction to the news is telling. He wants Floyd to know that he’s the king inside the Octagon.
