Another amazing night of fights is now in the books, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has finished hosting the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 219. During the event, UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg walked away with another victory in her mixed martial arts career. Now another featherweight phenom has decided to call out the title holder.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion was in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday night, Dec. 30, for UFC 219. In the night’s main event, Cris Cyborg was set to defend her title from former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm.
Holm and Cyborg entered an octagon war, with the fight ultimately going the distance. After their brutal match up, Cyborg walked away with a unanimous decision victory. With that in mind, the reigning champion is already receiving call outs from some of the sport’s toughest competitors.
Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson has decided to take to Twitter to reveal that she believes there is only one fighter left to face.
“Great fight ladies! Congrats Cris on retaining your belt! @ufc I think there’s only 1 fight to make now against a legit featherweight. #UFC219”
