Fight fans are inside the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan tonight, Dec. 2, for UFC 218. This time around, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is offering a pay-per-view main card that includes a heavyweight war in the co-main event and a title fight rematch in the night’s headliner. With the fights going down right now, it is time to take a look at the UFC results for the co-main event.
In the main event of the night, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will be looking to defend his title from former champion and former opponent Jose Aldo. However, before the two can throw down, UFC heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Francis Ngannou will be throwing down for division supremacy.
The fight opened up with Overeem running out with a left hook before entering the clinch with Ngannou. However, Ngannou was able to reverse the position and press his opponent against the fence. However, the referee stepped in and broke the fighters up.
Back in the center of the octagon, Ngannou quickly put an end to the match with a devastating knockout punch over Overeem.
