Following Cris Cyborg’s big UFC 219 win over former champion Holly Holm, her teammate made some jokes about Cyborg that were in very poor taste. However, Donald Cerrone. who’s from the same team under fire, has distanced himself from the situation, by backing up Cyborg against his own teams insensitive jokes.
Cris Cyborg headlined the UFC’s year end event this past Saturday with a successful title defense over Holly Holm.
Then Holly’s teammate, a credentialed UFC photographer spoke ill about the champ, calling her a man repeatedly on his own social media platform.
He later deleted the post, but this is what he said:
“This dude is tough as hell! That being said at the press conference he said Holly was the first one to make his nose bleed! You are my hero [Holly Holm] see you back in the gym”
Now, UFC fan-favorite, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has responded to the situation, with the class we would expect from the beloved star.
He stated,
TEAM! I have been a part of @gregjacksonmma before my first WEC fight. The recent comments made by their social media team don’t represent the team that I know, love and fight for.
