Kevin Lee Finishes Barboza In UFC Main Event | UFC Results

The time has finally come. Former UFC interim lightweight title challenger Kevin Lee is throwing down with tough division contender Edson Barboza.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey tonight, April 21, for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 128. Headlining the night’s event, Kevin Lee is set to take on Edson Barboza in front of the Atlantic City crowd. While Lee missed weight for the bout, Barboza has elected to accept a catchweight bout against the fighter. Check out the night’s main event UFC results down below.

Kevin Lee quickly slammed Barboza into the canvas early in the first round, successfully getting a takedown over his opponent. Lee managed to get mount position over his opponent and launched an onslaught of ground and pound on Barboza.

This was seemingly a dominant round for “The Motown Phenom.”

Lee wasted no time in the opening moments of round two, quickly shooting for another takedown. Barboza managed to resist the takedown, but was eventually dragged back down to the canvas by his opponent.

Lee rained down another pummeling of ground and pound from the dominant position. This was another dominant five minutes for Kevin Lee.

Barboza retaliated in the third round with a vengeance. The fighter managed to land some punishing kicks to the body of Lee, before Lee went for another takedown.

Barboza defended the attempt and smashed his opponent in the head with a spinning back kick that sent Lee reeling. Lee managed to recover from the stunning strike, before taking his opponent down once again.

The brutal five minutes ended on the feet, with Barboza dishing out some punishing kicks to his opponent.

The fourth round opened with a furry, as Lee swiftly took his opponent back down to the canvas. The fighter then spent another dominant five minutes pummeling Barboza with damaging ground and pound.

Barboza surged back in the final round with a vengeance. The fighter began slamming Lee with power shot after power shot.

The referee quickly called a stop to the contest, as Barboza suffered a brutal cut to his face. After being checked by medical staff, the fighter was deemed unfit to continue.
