The mixed martial arts event Russian Cagefighting Championship 2 went down inside the KRK Uralets Arena in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk, Russia. The fight card featured a series of interesting match ups, including heavyweight veterans Gabriel Gonzaga and Alexander Emelianenko.
Gonzaga made his big return to MMA within the event. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt champion, Gonzaga famously earned a knockout over striking phenom Mirko Cro Cop during his UFC days.
The heavyweight made his way to a title shot, ultimately suffering a decision loss to Randy Couture in the championship fight.
Gonzaga then made his big MMA return against Alexander Emelianenko. Emelianenko has been on a winning streak ever since being released from prison and returning to MMA in September after serving a sentence for convicted sexual assault charges.
MMA legend and brother to Alexander, Fedor Emelianenko was in attendance as his sibling earned a devastating knockout victory over Gonzaga. Check out the fight result within the video above.
