UFC Vet Melvin Guillard In Jail, Asks Fans For Help With Bond Money

It would appear that former UFC competitor and mixed martial arts veteran Melvin Guillard may have found himself in some trouble with the law as of late. Now the fighter is seemingly looking for money to make bail.

Guillard has not competed inside the octagon since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Michael Johnson back in 2014. Since then, Guillard has gone on to compete for a series of promotions, including Bellator MMA.

The fighter is set to compete for the lightweight title at Rogue One Elite Bare Knuckle Boxing on May 5. However, hours ago, a message appeared on the fighter’s Facebook page.

The message states:

“He folks, this is a friend of Melvins. He got into some trouble and needs $700 more for bond. He has a fight Friday and needs the help to get out. If you’re willing to help please leave a message and I will give you the info. Thanks”
