Action movies have begun to progress with the times. Usually settling for a more surrealistically outlandish style, fight scenes in many action films shoot for being over the top rather than remotely believable.
Now, modern movies have begun adapting their fight choreography to that of mixed martial arts. Shooting for a more realistic and still entertaining style, films are beginning to slip in tidbits of legitimate hand-to-hand combat in their scenes.
