UFC star Paige VanZant has given an update on her gruesome foot injury.
On Wednesday night, VanZant shared a photo on her Instagram page that showed her foot with a nasty cut. In the photo, which can be seen below, you can clearly see the inside of VanZant’s foot.
On Thursday, VanZant shared a video that shows her foot stitched up (video above). The UFC fighter is out having fun on a boat so the injury does not seem too severe.
VanZant is scheduled to move up to the flyweight division in her next fight. At UFC 216, on Oct. 7, VanZant is expected to fight Jessica Eye at 125 pounds. Eye will be moving down to the flyweight division to fight VanZant in this pivotal matchup.
Later this year, the UFC will begin to regularly put on fights in the women’s 125-pound division. In December, the UFC will crown their first ever UFC women’s flyweight champion.
