Paulie Malignaggi And UFC 216’s Kevin Lee Find A Common Ground

Former boxing champion Paul Malignaggi and UFC superstar Conor McGregor have had quite the falling out. Malignaggi initially joined McGregor’s training camp ahead of the UFC lightweight champion’s boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, Malignaggi departed from the camp after a series of sparring photos were leaked.

Since then, the boxing phenom and “Notorious” have been having heated exchanges. Now it would appear that the former boxing champion and one of the UFC’s top lightweight competitors have reached a common ground concerning “Notorious.”

Taking to Twitter, Paul Malignaggi stated:

“Fighters get it. Real not only recognize real, real also recognizes frauds too. #McQuitter”

In the post, the former boxing champion links to a former video interview including UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee.

Kevin Lee faced off for the interim lightweight title last weekend at UFC 216. Prior to the event, Lee took a moment to share some of his thoughts to the Mayweather Boxing Channel.

In the interview, as seen in the video below, Kevin Lee explains why he believes Tony Ferguson will become his toughest opponent and why he thinks McGregor has a tendency to quit in his fights. Referencing his match up against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Lee points out that McGregor was seemingly gassed near the end of his boxing debut and was not handling the situation well.
