UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes is riding yet another successful title defense, as the fighter earned a decision victory over former opponent Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 215. Now it would appear that the champion may be lining up a title fight in another division for her next octagon performance.
UFC 219
UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is set to make her first title defense as she faces off against former bantamweight champion Holly Holm at UFC 219 on Saturday, Dec. 30. However, the title earning winner between the two competitors may be facing off against Nunes next.
Los Angeles Times Sports reporter Lance Pugmire recently reported via social media that Amanda Nunes is interested in facing off against the night’s winner and that UFC President Dana White is passionately behind the idea.
Amanda Nunes has put on a dominant performance in her mixed martial arts career, earning a record of 15-4 as a professional fighter.
