Judges Scorecards Released, And Holm Was One Round Away From Defeating Cris Cyborg

Holly Holm

UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is perhaps one of the most dominant female fighters within the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The mixed martial artist has not suffered a defeat in her fighting career since 2005, putting the competitor on an 18 fight winning streak. At Saturday’s UFC 219, Cyborg earned herself yet another victory. That being said, the fighter was far from dominant in her performance. As revealed by the judges’ scorecards, former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm nearly walked away with a victory.

Fight fans flocked to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday night, Dec. 30, for UFC 219. The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion offered a night full of fun match ups, including a main event title fight between reigning featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm.

Holm put on a war with the title holder, ultimately going the distance in an MMA battle that had many fans on their feet. Still, Cyborg walked away with a unanimous decision victory. It has since been revealed, as seen in the judges’ scorecards down below, that Holly Holm earned a win in the judges’ eyes for the first two rounds of the fight. With one more round in her favor, the former bantamweight champion would have a new title to her name.
