Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm may have not earned a victory on Saturday night, Dec. 30 at UFC 219. However, “The Preacher’s Daughter” has certainly earned the respect of the mixed martial arts community for her recent octagon war. Now fight fans can take a look at the brutal result of the fighter’s recent throw down in a new video.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has put another great night of fights in the books. The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion was in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday night for UFC 219. In the night’s main event, Holly Holm went toe-to-toe with reigning featherweight champion Cris Cyborg. The two MMA warriors put on an intense octagon war for the Las Vegas crowd, causing both fighters to take some serious damage in the process.
Holm and Cyborg entered a brutal exchange of striking for five straight rounds. With the fight going the distance, Cyborg walked away with a unanimous decision victory. Still, both Cyborg and Holm suffered some serious damage from their opponent’s striking during the fight.
