In the aftermath of last weekend’s UFC 219 event, Cris Cyborg found herself getting harassed online by an approved UFC media member, who also happened to be a teammate of Holly Holm.
The photographer made some disparaging remarks about the UFC champion, referring to her as a him and a he and a his, and his comments went viral fast.
In a post to his Instagram, he stated, “This dude is tough as hell! That being said at the press conference he said Holly was the first one to make his nose bleed! You are my hero [Holly Holm] see you back in the gym”
The move got him banned for life from UFC events, and rightfully so. However he was only following UFC president Dana White’s lead on the subject. Who not long ago said much worse about his featherweight champion.
Check it out:
“I said when I saw her at the MMA awards, she looked like Wanderlei Silva in a dress and heels. And she did. Did she not?”
“Who wants to dispute that she didn’t look like Wanderlei?”
“She got up and she was walking up the stairs. Jacked up on steroids beyond belief, and looked like Wanderlei Silva in a dress and heels.”
Here’s a replay of Dana’s comments on Cris Cyborg before he signed her to the UFC:
