UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes put on another stunning performance over the weekend. Following the fighter’s most recent outing, Nunes has now toppled a record held by UFC megastar Ronda Rousey.
Nunes headlined UFC 224 on Saturday, May 12, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The reigning champion went toe-to-toe with rising challenger Raquel Pennington for the exciting match up.
Nunes put on a dominant performance, ultimately earning a TKO victory over Pennington. Now Nunes has shattered Rousey’s record of six UFC finishes with a total of seven finishes inside the octagon.
Nunes earned one of those finishes against Rousey back at UFC 207, earning a TKO over the former champion within the first round.
