When Donald Cerrone picked rising UFC welterweight to headline with him in Poland, he didn’t know what he was in for.
“For Darren to say, ‘You know what, I’ve only had a couple fights, I’ll fight a f*cking legend, let’s go.’ Dude, right on, bro,” Cerrone said to MMAjunkie prior to his fight with Till. “I was that son-of-a-b-tch kid. I remember taking those fights. My hat’s off to the kid. The steam’s running on him. Good opportunity for him. But people say no all the time. It’s f*cking asinine to me.”
That’s why we love “Cowboy”. . . But still, Till put on a dominant performance with his first round stoppage over the longtime fan favorite fighter, and Donald’s now wearing that dominance on his face.
The fight was quick, and the finish even quicker. Cerrone didn’t get a post fight speech, and we haven’t seen much of him since the defeat.
However, in this one still action shot from the main event, we can see that Cerrone was dealing with a nasty boken nose.
Check it out:
Donald Cowboy Cerrone was hoping to return to action in December, but with a nose break like that, it’s highly unlikely.
Bummer …
